MAP OF THE GRAMMAR CURMUDGEON WEBSITE
Following is a guide to all major sections in this site. Chief divisions are accessed via the index buttons, many of which lead to an index of the subsections. Many of these subsections are, in turn, indexed with links to internal divisions.
THE HOME PAGE
The Home Page contains: a statement of the rationale behind this website; links to the message boards; a utility for searching this site (see also "Internal Site Search" below); an up-to-date "What's New?" section, with links to recent additions; introduction of the site mascot; and the curmudgeon's credentials.
That's where you are now, doofus!
More detailed information about the contents of this site; tips on such topics as using basic HTML.
The General Message Board is here. There is also a link to the ESL Discussion Board for English as a second language. The English Language Discussion Board, can be accessed from this page, which also contains registration instructions. (No registration is required to view them.) The Workbench section is a page that allows "experimental" posting of messages before making them available for public viewing.

ENGLISH 101 HELP
This section, originally intended specifically for my students at the community college, contains some pointers and exercises for students who are taking English 101 or any introductory college composition courses.
A collection of my writing classified under the following categories. Where appropriate, each category has a Table of Contents.
> Essays and Articles – Essays covering a variety of topics and written mostly for this website.
> Essay Archives – Older essays, also covering a variety of subjects.
> Memorabilia – Reminiscences of an old poop about events that may or may not have really occurred.
> Grumbles – Short pieces about what ticks me off. (My goal is to cover the complete range of human foibles before I die.)
> Pet Peeves – Devoted exclusively to griping about abuses of the English language.
> Just for Fun – An assortment of short entries on the lighter side.THE GRUMPY GRAMMARIAN
Launched in January 2006, this monthly newsletter discusses English language and usage, with emphasis on our pet peeves.
A blog within the website, containing ramblings of little consequence.

A compendium of Internet resources of interest to writers, with direct links to these resources, including commentary and ratings.
Other Internet links – personal links, general reference sources, other word sources, curiosities, and sites that are just fun.
Sections containing personal and family photo-essays, photo albums, and videos, organized into these groups:
> Adventures in Acadia – A series of photo-essays inspired by family vacations in Maine's Acadia National Park.

A series of opinion polls, conducted at very random intervals.
To facilitate faster loading of pages, some sections are omitted from the homepage index and do not qualify as subsections of other indexed items. They are located under the "Hidden Pages" index. These are: Clippings (items of interest from other sources) and Wit and Wisdom (quotations arranged by general topic).
