Why Grammar Is Faulty

Let us assume that many people have considerable difficulty with English grammar. Of course, there are many explanations for why this is so. If you were to select the main reason why people fail to use correct grammar in speech and writing, what would you say that reason is?

They don't care / They think it is unimportant.

Grammar is just too complicated / difficult.

They hear and see too many bad examples.

Grammar is illogical / inconsistent.

Grammar isn't taught, or isn't taught enough, in school.
