Hurricane Ike came ashore at Galveston and moved north(ish) up Interstate 45. I live maybe five miles west of Interstate 45, about five miles south of the center of Houston. Power went out, for two days at my place. Water was under a boil-before-drinking order, until this morning. Galveston and the coast near is practically wiped out, so we came off well. To see, take a look at Houston ABC-13 Tree limbs everywhere (one missed the apartment window next to mine by six inches), and the occasional whole tree. But there's no news from anywhere else in the country available! Pogo
