1Working with computers isn't easy. 2In the first place, learning the basics. 3Which may not be very "basic" at all. 4Turning on the machine is easy enough, but then everything gets more complicated. 5Causing many people to give up when they are just beginning. 6New users may start to feel comfortable. 7After a few painful hours on the slow learning curve. 8Nevertheless, problems may continue to arise along the way. 9Even after hours of practice and training. 10Perhaps just when we feel that we are beginning to get the hang of it. 11Most of us learn to take these setbacks in stride. 12Although we may dramatically enlarge our vocabulary of swear words in the process. 13Indeed, some users have contributed new words to the language. 14And have become quite adept at using them. 15Of course, the computer doesn't care. 16It is only a machine. 17With no emotions and no way of responding to our threats. 18Its only response may be to break down completely. 19Whenever it feels like it. 20Causing us to swear even more. 21Isn't computing fun?
