Bubble Pond
6 Oct 2005

Just off the Park Loop Road between the parking area for the Bubbles trail and the entrance to the road up Mount Cadillac is Bubble Pond, a spot that epitomizes sylvan serenity.  The parking lot at Bubble Pond is usually quite full, but most of these vehicles belong to cyclists and hikers who have used the place as a base for the day's exploration of Acadia, since many carriage roads and hiking trails converge here.  A very short walk takes one to the edge of the Pond, where the wise will speak softly or not at all and be satisfied to bask in the tranquility of the still water and the surrounding mountains.
