The Cove and the Cottages
11 Oct 2005

From our first visit to Maine through our latest in 2005, we have always stayed at the Edgewater, though not always at the same cottage.  Modest but nicely furnished, the cottages overlook Salisbury Cove, an inlet to the west of Bar Harbor, where one can watch the seagulls and listen to their cries, observe the comings and goings of an occasional small boat (including the lobster boats moored in the cove), and perhaps, if one is lucky, catch a glimpse of a seal or a bald eagle.
