The Mudgelog
Ramblings of an Old Poop

Thoughts happen.

Although The Grammar Curmudgeon has sections for short pieces – the Grumbles, Pet Peeves, and Just for Fun sections, for example – I felt that I needed a "bloglike" section for random thoughts and opinions or for ideas that don't develop into complete essays.

These are random thoughts that enter my head, probably revealing more about how wacky I can be than they do about anything really important.  They should probably remain in my head, but I'm addicted to writing and often don't care whether what I write is of any consequence.  From what I read on the Internet, a lot of us are like that.

There's no place in this "Mudgelog" (as there is on many traditional blogs) for anyone to respond.  I can't see why anyone would want to respond to the ramblings of an old poop anyway.  However, if anything here makes you want to punch me in the face or (unlikely) shout "Hurrah," you can react on the Message Board.

The only logic to the entries in this section is that they are grouped into the time slots displayed below, to keep the pages from becoming unmanageable.
